This policy explains what personal information Photornament (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit photornament.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Order details: your name, billing and shipping address, email address and, if you provide it, phone number.
- Personalization details: the names, dates, messages and photos you submit so we can make your ornament.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Offer sign-ups: if you sign up for our 10% welcome offer, your email address, so we can send you the code and occasional news about new designs and offers. You can ask us to remove you at any time by replying to any of our emails.
- Browsing information: pages viewed, items added to the cart, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To make, ship and support your order, including sending order confirmations and updates.
- To answer your questions and resolve problems.
- To remind you about items left at checkout, if you entered your email address there.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- To measure and show advertising, as described under “Cookies and advertising” below.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud.
We use the photos and text you submit only to produce your order and to help with any follow-up on it. We do not use customer photos in marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:
- Payment processing: WooPayments, powered by Stripe.
- Production and delivery: our production partners and shipping carriers receive what is needed to make and deliver your order.
- Website hosting and email: Hostinger.
- Analytics: Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling and page views) to help us improve the site. Text you type, such as names and payment details, is masked and not recorded.
- Advertising measurement: Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and our customers.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies to keep items in your cart, remember your session and understand how visitors use the site. We also use the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity, which collect information about your activity on our site, such as products viewed and purchases, and may match it with your account on those services to measure our advertising and show relevant ads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram account settings. The shop will still work if you block advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for customer service, tax and accounting purposes. Photos uploaded for an order are kept for as long as needed to produce the order and handle any follow-up, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, email hello@photornament.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Children
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Photos of children submitted by a parent or guardian for an ornament are used only to make that order.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and payments are processed by a certified payment provider. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
